Welcome
Thank you for your interest in PatronEdge.
Welcome! Thank you for your interest in the exciting and rewarding industry of mystery shopping. PatronEdge is becoming one of the fastest growing companies in the exciting customer experience evaluation business. Our goal is to be the leader in the industry. With your help and a lot of hard work, we can make this happen. You are about to learn how PatronEdge works, how you are trained, scheduled and compensated to complete evaluations.
We are very excited to work with you in providing high quality detailed reviews for our clients. This shouldn't be just a fun experience, it should be a really fun experience. Everyone on the management team started as an evaluator, so we know how fun it can be.
The management team has made a few observations over the years which we will share with you to help make your experience with us as exciting and rewarding as possible, and of course fun.
Working for PatronEdge should not be considered a full-time job or even a part-time job. It should be considered a fun job. It should be a source of extra income which is made while having a good time. Part-time and full-time positions are available in the business opportunity section. The most important tip for success is to fill out the evaluation form as soon as possible after you complete an evaluation, preferably the day of the review or the following day. All of your observations will still be fresh in your mind allowing you to quickly and accurately fill out all of the appropriate sections. This is particularly helpful in describing the appearance of employees.
Most evaluators bring in a small notepad and a pencil and write down descriptions immediately. Some evaluators go to a phone during the evaluations and leaves notes on their voice mail, some bring in a micro tape recorder, some text message while others bring in a magazine or some form of brochure and takes notes on paper inside of it. One evaluator told me that she goes into the bathroom and takes notes in one of the stalls. It sounds funny, but it works. As you gain experience as an evaluator you will find which of these techniques or other techniques helps you the most. Be sure not to forget a watch, because most if not all evaluations need timings to be taken at different times during the evaluation.
PatronEdge suggests that prior to completing the first few evaluations it is helpful to go through the training materials and review the sample evaluations.
Don't plan your day around your assignment. Try to plan your assignment around your day if possible. This will help keep your assignment fun, not a chore.
Never forget, this is a business and should be taken very seriously. Our clients are depending on you to provide honest and accurate evaluations. Jobs may be on the line depending on your evaluation. PatronEdge hopes that you will spread the word of becoming an evaluator to your friends, because part of your rating is based on how many people you bring in to become evaluators. The people with the highest ratings get first pick at evaluations. Please send us an email to get started.
Scheduling EvaluationsA scheduling agent will call or email you when we have an evaluation that needs to be completed in your area. We will make every attempt to make the timing of the evaluation as flexible as possible. Usually, we will give you a one week time frame of when an evaluation needs to be completed. You just need to tell us what day fits best in with your schedule. Within 24 hours after you commit to completing an evaluation you need to email us with the date and time you hope to complete the evaluation. It is very important you meet this commitment. If for any reason you cannot complete an evaluation, you need to call the scheduling center as soon as possible. Don't accept an assignment if you don't think you can complete it. Don't worry, we'll call you again.
Please do not be concerned if we do not contact you immediately after you apply. We currently have many more evaluators than assignments. The demand for our services is constantly changing. When we have work for you, we will contact you. It may be as long as a year wait before we have an evaluation for you. You will receive periodic newsletters to keep you up to date on what is happening at PatronEdge. Try to be patient, it is worth it. The founder of PatroneEdge waited well over a year before he was called from the first evaluation firm that he worked for. You are welcome to check in periodically for open assignments, but please do so my email so we can keep track of when you contacted us.
Completing Evaluations/Reports
When you are contacted to complete an evaluation for the first time, you will be sent all of the forms that you will need. The scheduling agent will provide guidance on completing your initial review. This is a great time to ask questions that you may have. If you have questions at anytime, please give us a call or email us.
We have tried to make the reports as easy as possible to complete while providing valuable information to our clients. Please make sure that you accurately complete every question. If any questions are left blank, our clients may not accept the report and will not pay for it. If this happens, we will not be able to reimburse your expenses. This does not happen very often, in fact it never has, but if it ever does it probably will be the result of an evaluator carelessly filling out a form or not taking his or her assignment seriously. We want to compensate you for your efforts and our clients would like to use your valuable observations.
Detailed, accurate written observations are critical. Most of our clients do not even look at the yes / no boxes that you check off. They are there primarily to remind the evaluator of what needs to be documented in each section. The observations should be so detailed that the client can visualize exactly how you and the staff were interacting.
While completing an evaluation, think of yourself as a video recorder. Your job is to absorb as much information as possible. If you can do this, then you should have no problems completing the reports.
